Usamos THERE IS y THERE ARE para hablar de las cosas que HAY.139lapiz.gif
Por ejemplo: There is a window in my classroom. There are two beds in my bedroom.
THERE IS va seguido de un sustantivo singular o incontable. There is a boy in the classroom. There is a pencil on the table.
There is some water on the floor.
THERE ARE va seguido de un sustantivo plural. There are three shops in this street. There are two windows in my bedroom.

NEGATIVA


Para la negativa usamos There is not / there isn't y there are not / there aren't.
There isn't a tiger in this zoo. There aren't any computers in my classroom.

INTERROGATIVA


Para preguntar por lo que hay usamos Is there / Are there. Para responder a estas preguntas usamos Yes, there is / No, there isn't.(para el singular), Yes, There are / No, there aren't. (para el plural),
Is there a TV in your bedroom? Yes, there is. / No, there isn't.
Are there two beds in your bedroom? Yes, there are. / No, there aren't.
